Imagine Cup

The world’s premier student technology competition.

Microsoft created the Imagine Cup nine years ago with the idea that students can and will change the world. The Imagine Cup competition spans one year, beginning with local, regional, and online contests in over 100 countries/regions.

The contest is executed in 2 phases, regional competition in each country where Microsoft operates and a world final executed with all regional winners from different categories. Through the MICs, students and Imagine Cup competitors have access to coaching and mentorship, training and prototype development.

The finalists go on to attend the Worldwide Finals held in a different country every year. The competition brings students together, provides resources and opportunities for students to innovate on the latest technologies, and provides new friendships that last well beyond the competition itself.

Greek teams have participated in the Imagine Cup competition since 2004 and, over the years, have achieved top ranking in the Worldwide finals. Through the competition the teams’ projects have received media coverage and making them flagships both of innovation and of the local talent that exists.
